The NEET UG Admit Card 2026 was released on April 26, a day earlier than previously announced. Candidates preparing for this crucial medical entrance exam can now download their admit cards from the official website, neet.nta.nic.in. With approximately 20 lakh candidates gearing up for the exam, this early release offers a sigh of relief.
The NEET UG examination is set for May 3, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Candidates must log in using their application number and either their date of birth or password to access the admit card. Entry to the examination centre will not be permitted without a valid admit card.
“NEET UG 2026 hall tickets to be available on April 27 ahead of May 3 exam,” noted an official statement. This announcement has prompted many students to finalize their preparations.
Alongside the admit card, candidates must carry a printed version, valid photo ID proof, and passport-size photographs to the examination venue. The admit card itself contains essential details such as candidate information, exam centre address, reporting time, and the exam date.
“Candidates are advised to use the last Sunday before the examination for a practice test or revision of concepts,” officials suggested. This guidance aims to ensure that students are well-prepared for the rigorous testing environment.
There will be over 552 cities in India where the exam will take place, along with 14 cities abroad—expanding opportunities for aspiring medical professionals. The total marks for the NEET UG exam are set at 720.
However, candidates should also be aware of specific restrictions: they must follow a prescribed dress code that avoids items like jewellery, watches, electronic devices, and bags.
As candidates prepare for this pivotal moment in their academic careers, they are reminded to reach their designated examination centres by 11:00 AM on the exam day—ensuring ample time for check-in and settling nerves.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) continues to oversee this process with precision. As excitement builds among students and parents alike, all eyes are on May 3 when these future doctors will demonstrate their knowledge and readiness.
