In a significant move to enhance transparency and efficiency, the CBSE has adopted a new On-Screen Marking system for the first time in 2026. This change coincides with the upcoming declaration of the Class 12 results, expected around May 23, 2026.

More than 18 lakh students eagerly await their results. The board examinations commenced on February 17, 2026, and require a minimum of 33% marks in each subject to pass.

The results will be accessible through multiple platforms including cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in, DigiLocker, and the UMANG app. This broad accessibility aims to streamline the process for students.

Sanyam Bhardwaj, an official from CBSE, expressed confidence in the new evaluation method. “My evaluation is going very perfectly, better than the previous evaluation,” he stated. He also refuted claims made by some media outlets about issues in the evaluation process: “I refute each and every thing which has been stated in some media news portal. These are false and everything is perfectly fine.”

The introduction of On-Screen Marking marks a notable shift in how CBSE conducts evaluations. This method promises to improve accuracy and speed in grading.

Key facts about the upcoming results:
