TTK Prestige Share Price Movement: A 29.77% Surge
TTK Prestige shares gained approximately 29.77% over a span of three days, reflecting a notable market response to recent developments in the cooking appliance sector. As of March 12, the shares opened at ₹587.15 and reached an intraday high of ₹611.50.
This surge in share price coincides with a significant increase in the daily sales of induction cookers, which jumped from 40–45 units to 120–130 units. The rising demand for electric cooking appliances is largely attributed to a recent crisis in the LPG supply chain in India, which has led consumers to seek alternatives.
In tandem with the increased sales of induction cooktops, the domestic price of LPG has also seen a sharp rise, increasing by 7% to reach ₹913 per cylinder. This price hike has further fueled the shift towards electric cooking solutions, benefiting companies like TTK Prestige.
TTK Prestige reported revenues of ₹2,894 crore for the fiscal year 2025, and the company has set an ambitious target of achieving ₹5,000 crore in revenue by FY2027. Induction cooktops currently contribute nearly 10–12% to the company’s overall revenue, indicating their growing importance in TTK Prestige’s product lineup.
Market analysts have noted the implications of these trends. Anshul Jain commented, “This behavior suggests trapped longs are using the retracement to exit positions.” He also warned that “a sustained break below that level could accelerate downside pressure,” highlighting the volatility that can accompany such rapid price movements.
The LPG shortage crisis in India has played a crucial role in shaping consumer behavior, leading to increased interest in electric cooking appliances. As the market adjusts to these changes, TTK Prestige appears well-positioned to capitalize on the shift, although the full impact of these developments remains to be seen.
Details remain unconfirmed regarding how long this surge in demand for induction cooktops will last and whether TTK Prestige can maintain its upward trajectory in share price amidst fluctuating market conditions.
