Hansika Motwani and Sohael Khaturiya were granted a divorce by the Bandra Family Court in Mumbai on March 11, 2026. The couple sought separation by mutual consent, with Motwani waiving any claims to alimony or streedhan.
Immediate Circumstances
The couple had been living apart since July 2, 2024, after realizing significant differences in their temperaments, opinions, and lifestyles. They were married for a brief period, having tied the knot on December 4, 2022, at Mandota Fort in Jaipur.
Motwani and Khaturiya’s relationship began with a romantic proposal at the Eiffel Tower in Paris in November 2022. Their wedding was later documented in the Disney+ Hotstar show titled ‘Hansika’s Love Shaadi Drama’, released in 2023. Despite the public interest surrounding their marriage, the couple did not have any children together.

Adnan Shaikh, the representative for Hansika Motwani, stated, “The divorce was granted by mutual consent after both parties acknowledged that the marriage had irretrievably broken down.” He further clarified, “It is pertinent to clarify that our client has made no claims whatsoever for alimony or maintenance, as her sole intention was to bring a dignified and peaceful closure to the marriage.”
