Changes in CUET UG 2026 Exam Dates

Previously, the National Testing Agency (NTA) had provided tentative timelines for the CUET UG examination in its annual calendar. This created an expectation among candidates regarding the scheduling of the exam.

However, a decisive moment occurred when the NTA officially announced that the CUET UG 2026 will be conducted from May 11 to 31, 2026. This marks a clear timeline for candidates who have been awaiting confirmation.

The examination will be conducted exclusively in a Computer Based Test (CBT) format, a shift that aligns with modern testing practices. This change is expected to streamline the examination process and enhance the overall experience for candidates.

In terms of the application process, the NTA has reopened applications multiple times, reflecting the agency’s responsiveness to candidate needs. The final round of applications will be accepted from February 23 to 26, 2026, providing a last opportunity for candidates to register.

Following the announcement of the exam dates, the NTA will release the Exam City Intimation Slip, which is crucial for candidates to know their designated testing locations. This slip will be available after the datesheet is published.

Additionally, candidates can expect the admit card to be released approximately three to four days prior to the examination, allowing them to prepare adequately for the test.

For those looking to stay informed, the official schedule, including subject-wise exam dates and shift timings, will be available on the NTA’s official website, cuet.nta.nic.in.

Experts suggest that the clarity in scheduling and the structured application process will significantly reduce confusion among candidates, enabling them to focus on their preparations.

Despite these updates, details remain unconfirmed regarding any further changes to the exam format or additional rounds of applications.
